About Austin

Austin Culler is a multi-faceted classical guitarist based out of Lethbridge, Alberta. He specializes in performing 19th century repertoire and teaches historical compositional practices from the 18th century. His most recent publication is a thesis documenting the usage of 18th century Italian schema in the classical guitar repertoire.

Austin graduated from the University of Lethbridge with a Masters in Guitar Performance under the guidance of Iliana Matos and Peter Visentin. He received an undergraduate degree in Music Theory from the University of British Columbia where he studied with Alec Pearson. He publishes lessons about partimento and guitar online and will be presenting at the 2024 GFA conference in Fullerton, California.
